Winston Macfarlane was with Emirates Team New Zealand for both the 2003 and 2007 America’s cup series. Since 2007 he has raced in all five Louis Vuitton Trophy regattas and was a member the winning TP52 team in both 2009 and 2010. He has sailed with many successful private race programmes including, Morning Glory, Rio TP52, Hi Fi, Velsheda J Boat, Sky Walker – Orma 60. More recently, he joined teammates Dean Barker and Jeremy Lomas racing an Extreme 40 catamaran in the Almeria regatta. It was the team’s first taste of top-level, multihull racing. Winston worked the bow in the ACWS regattas and is heavily involved in the SL33 development work and the AC72 programme.
