Breeze up again and a good day on the water
Emirates Team New Zealand tuned in to the San Francisco sea breeze again on Sunday. The breeze was up again – top gust for the afternoon was 27 knots – and was always in the early 20s.
Again the sailing crew returned to base unscathed and satisfied with the progress made during the afternoon, but declared they still had a lot of work to do to be confident against teams that had been sailing in San Francisco conditions for much longer than them.
Tomorrow is a day off. Official practice will be on Tuesday and racing starts on for some teams on Wednesday. Emirates Team New Zealand’s regatta starts on Thursday.
